Hardware-wallet privacy

Privacy Policy

This policy applies exclusively to the Wallet Buddha physical NFC hardware wallet card, the buddha.capital product website, and the local Wallet Buddha Android application.

Effective: July 20, 2026 Package: com.walletbuddha2.app support@buddha.capital
Hardware-wallet-only scope. Wallet Buddha is a dedicated physical NFC card for private-key storage. The website and Android application support only the card, local NFC readiness, storage-safety guidance, documentation, and customer assistance.

1. Controller and scope

WALLET BUDDHA LLC is responsible for personal data described in this policy. This policy covers:

  • the website at buddha.capital;
  • the Wallet Buddha physical NFC hardware wallet card;
  • the Wallet Buddha Android application identified by package com.walletbuddha2.app; and
  • official product, warranty, delivery, and technical-support communications.

The Android application is a local utility for the Wallet Buddha NFC hardware card and its private-key storage boundary.

2. Product boundary

The Wallet Buddha ecosystem is limited to physical private-key storage, local NFC card checks, recovery-safety guidance, official documentation, application preferences, privacy controls, and product support.

The Android application contains no third-party service gateway, embedded browser, remote feature configuration, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK.

3. Secret and financial data we do not collect

WALLET BUDDHA LLC, the website, and the Android application do not collect, access, retain, transmit, or request:

  • private keys, recovery words, recovery phrases, seed material, card PINs, passwords, or passphrases;
  • hardware-wallet secrets or authentication material;
  • identity-verification documents through the Android application;
  • advertising identifiers, contact lists, precise location, photographs, microphone recordings, or personal files; or
  • data for behavioral advertising, profiling, or cross-service tracking.

Official Wallet Buddha support will never ask a user to disclose secret key material.

4. Android application: local processing only

The Android application processes a limited set of non-secret technical information locally on the user’s phone:

  • NFC availability and whether NFC is enabled;
  • temporary NFC tag-presence events used to confirm local card readiness;
  • safety-checklist status;
  • theme, start-screen, and haptic preferences; and
  • application version and basic phone information when the user manually creates a diagnostic report.

The application does not read or retain NFC tag identifiers or NFC payload content. It does not request Internet access and does not automatically upload local application data.

When the user selects Copy diagnostic report, the application creates local text containing the app version, build number, package ID, Android version, phone manufacturer and model, and NFC availability status. The report is placed on the Android clipboard only after the user’s explicit action. It is not provided to WALLET BUDDHA LLC unless the user separately chooses to share it with support.

5. Website and support data

The website does not ask users to enter hardware-wallet secrets. The following limited information may be handled:

  • Support and enquiry information: name, email, and the content voluntarily provided to official support.
  • Hardware fulfilment information: delivery and contact details provided when requesting or obtaining a physical NFC card.
  • Warranty information: card serial or order reference where necessary, issue description, and return-delivery information.
  • Security logs: IP data, browser type, operating system, requested page, date and time, and similar server-log information processed by the website host for availability and abuse prevention.

The current website does not collect checkout credentials. It does not use advertising cookies, behavioral analytics, retargeting pixels, or third-party advertising SDKs.

6. Purposes and legal bases

Personal data is used only to:

  • respond to product and technical-support requests;
  • provide physical-device availability, delivery, warranty, return, and safety information;
  • operate, protect, troubleshoot, and maintain the website;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents affecting the website or support channels; and
  • comply with applicable legal, accounting, tax, consumer-protection, and regulatory duties.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, processing is based on performance of a contract, steps requested before entering a contract, compliance with legal duties, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or consent.

7. No sale of data and limited disclosure

WALLET BUDDHA LLC does not monetize personal data and does not disclose personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Limited personal data may be disclosed only to infrastructure, delivery, professional-adviser, or support providers where necessary for the purposes described above; to comply with law or a valid legal process; or to protect users, WALLET BUDDHA LLC, and the security of the service. Service providers may process data only for the contracted purpose and under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

8. Retention

  • Local Android app settings remain on the phone until the user changes them, clears local app data, or removes the application.
  • Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and maintain an appropriate support record.
  • Hardware fulfilment, warranty, accounting, and tax records may be retained for the period required by applicable law, commonly up to seven years.
  • Website security logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

9. Security

Website connections use TLS/SSL where supported. WALLET BUDDHA LLC applies reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, destruction, alteration, or disclosure.

Users must keep all private keys, recovery material, PINs, passwords, and passphrases offline and confidential. No legitimate Wallet Buddha representative will request them.

10. Children

The Wallet Buddha hardware product, website, and Android application are not directed to children. WALLET BUDDHA LLC does not knowingly collect personal data from children through the Android application.

11. International processing

WALLET BUDDHA LLC is established in the United States. Where personal data is processed outside the user’s country, appropriate safeguards are applied as required by applicable privacy law.

12. Privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, withdraw consent, or obtain a portable copy of personal data. Users may also have the right to complain to a competent data-protection authority.

Requests may be submitted to support@buddha.capital. Reasonable verification may be required before a request is completed.

13. Policy changes

This policy may be updated when privacy practices, the hardware product, applicable law, or technical safeguards change. Any updated version will remain available at the same permanent URL:

https://www.buddha.capital/privacy.html

A material expansion beyond the hardware-wallet-only scope described in this policy would require a separate review of the website, application, disclosures, and applicable legal obligations before release.
